Bruno Fernandes has been fantastic for Portugal and Manchester United this season, he will be one of the key pieces to Portugal’s success at the tournament. His timely goals and attack from the midfield will be counted on heavily to as Portugal looks to move forward in the tournament. Fernandes could be paired in the middle of the field with Vitinha that may provide a nasty one, two punch for the nation.

Roberto Martinez added a couple of surprises to his 26 man squad for Euro 2024 when he called up a pair of wingers in Porto’s Francisco Conceicao and Wolves’ Pedro Neto. The hope is that the pair will provide something the nation has lacked which is speed from the wing position to compliment Milan’s Rafael Leao. Martinez made sure to add a veteran presence though by calling up Ronaldo and Pepe one more time.

Otavio was part of Portugal’s original 26 man squad but an injury will see the midfielder miss the Euro 2024 tournament. Otavio was replaced by Machester City midfielder Matheus Nunes over the last week. Otavio will be missed but it may just open the door to PSG midfielder Vitinha to get into the starting XI after a phenomenal season in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
