Predicting Portugal’s World Cup 2026 squad

Portugal manager Roberto Martinez will announce his World Cup 2026 squad as the deadline to submit the 26 player list is May 30, 2026. The list should not include many surprises but the squad can have some notable omissions due to injuries, luckily at this time in April their are no major injuries to report. Look for Martinez to call up a regular known squad. This is our choice for the club’s 2026 World Cup squad, lets hope Martinez takes notice but likely not.

Portugal’s tournament group opener will be against Congo followed by games against Uzebekistan (June 23) and Colombia (June 27). Portugal will play two friendlies before the tournament starts over a span of four days. Portugal will face Chile (June 6) and Nigeria (June 10) in tune ups.

Diogo Costa (FC Porto), Rui Silva (Sporting), Jose Sa (Wolverhampton)
